pnemastone was born from a place of grief and love. In 2018, after the sudden loss of my beloved boxer, Spicoli, I was overwhelmed with the pain of his absence and was searching for a way to carry a piece of him with me.

Grief led me to create something truly unique. I started creating memorial jewelry made from ashes, designed with intention. I first taught myself glass making and later learned silversmithing, driven by a desire to help others heal.

pneumastone is my way of sharing that healing

pneuma is a Greek word meaning "spirit" or "breath." It often refers to the life force or soul that animates a person or being. In ancient philosophy, particularly in Stoicism, pneuma was considered the vital spirit or energy that connects all living things.

This felt like the most fitting name, as it conveys a sense of life, energy, and the enduring spirit of those remembered through our memorial jewelry.
